What is Dynamic Number Insertion?

If you have a static phone number on your roofing website, you cannot track which advertising channel prompted a customer to dial. Dynamic Number Insertion (DNI) resolves this by dynamically rotating phone numbers assigned to specific visitors.

When a visitor lands on your site from a Google Ads search, DNI automatically swaps the default telephone number for a unique tracking number assigned to that click session.

[Ads Search Click] -> [DNI swaps phone number in DOM] -> [Visitor Dials] -> [Call linked to Ads campaign]

The Operational Benefits of Integrated DNI

With Rooflyzer OS, DNI is built directly into our core client tracker scripts:

  1. Real-time Source Matching: When a caller dials a tracking number, our webhook systems link the incoming call session directly to their active web visitor session, showing you their full navigation history.
  2. Granular Lead Routing: Automatically route calls to the specific sales representative assigned to that territory or campaign.
  3. Call Transcription & Analysis: Capture call audio transcripts securely, parse them for focus keywords, and flag missed opportunities automatically.

By unifying dynamic phone rotation, call logging, and customer profiles into one system, you eliminate the need for expensive third-party call analytics software.
